Chris Brown is set to star in the anticipated film adaptation of Steve Harvey's New York Times best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, Us Magazine reports.
Harvey's book delves into what men really think about love, relationships and commitment. Harvey originally intended for his 2009 best-selling book to help women better understand the men in their lives by giving them advice on how to deal with their behavior and avoid drama.
The film adaptation, titled "Think Like a Man," will center on four friends who have their love lives shaken up when the women they are pursuing buy Steve Harvey’s book and start considering his advice.
Chris Brown is no stranger to explosive relationship drama. In Feb. 2009, he was arrested ondomestic violence charges for felony abuse on his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown has publicly struggled with his anger management issues since the 2009 incident. In March 2011, the singer had a major blowup on 'Good Morning America' when he was asked about the violent incident with Rihanna. An irritated Brown then went on to smash a dressing room window by throwing a chair at it.
He's also come under fire for several homophobic Twitter rants in recent months.
The film will also star Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Gabrielle Union, Regina Hall, former MTV personality Lala Vasquez and "Entourage" star Jerry Ferrara. It's set to hit theaters in April 2012.
