David Duchovny And Téa Leoni Separation: Couple Reunites

David Duchovny And Téa Leoni Separation: Couple Reunites

X Files star David Duchovny split from his wife Téa Leoni last month, but it is clearly not an open-and-shut case.

The pair, who have a daughter Madelaine West, 12, and son Kyd, 9, were spotted on a Sunday drive in Malibu, California, yesterday.

The 45-year-old actress was in the driver's seat as they cruised around near their marital home in the seaside area.

It's the second time they have been seen together since announcing their separation on June 29.

The 50-year-old Californication star and actress, 45, were spotted on a family picnic with their children on the Fourth of July weekend, prompting rumours of a reconciliation.

The couple, who wed in 1997, have long had a complicated relationship.

They initially separated for several months in 2008 while Duchovny completed rehab for sex addiction.

He allegedly agreed to seek treatment after heartbroken Leoni discovered his indiscretions and threatened to divorce him.

That same year, he is understood to have discovered explicit text messages on his wife's mobile phone sent by actor Billy Bob Thornton, the former husband of Angelina Jolie.

However, the pair eventually reconciled and appeared stronger than ever before last month's announcement.
Leoni will next appear in the action comedy Tower Heist along side  Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy

Duchovny, who plays a sex-obsessed writer on the television drama series Californication, is set to appear in the comedy movie Goats later this year.
