Ann Curry Rumored To Replace Meredith Vieira

Ann Curry Rumored To Replace Meredith Vieira At The Today Show

Turns out rumors of big shake-ups at the Today Show may be true.
According to a report from the Hollywood ReporterMeredith Vieira will be leaving NBC's Today Show in June. Three months before her contract expires.
The official announcement is expected sometime next week.
Ann Curry, the current Today Show newsreader, is rumored to be her replacement and will co-host alongside Matt Lauer.
At least for the time being.  There were reports a few weeks back the Lauer was speculating jumping the Today ship once his contract expires in 2012 for a syndicated talk show with former co-worker Katie Couric.
Natalie Morales, currently a correspondent, will replace Curry as the newsreader.
Vieira's departure comes on the heels of Katie Couric's departure from CBS Evening News, though in Vieira's case NBC would very much like to keep her. By all accounts Vieira is tiring of the tough early morning schedule and wants to spend more time with her husband who suffers from MS.
Vieira replaced Couric on Today in 2006. Currently, Viera has no plans to give up her job as host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Who Are the 10 Healthiest Celebrities?

The Top 10 Healthiest Celebrities

We're tired of seeing all the TMZ-style photos of healthy celebrities jogging on Malibu beaches and hiking in Laurel Canyon. All Los Angeles has on New York is the cinematic backdrop.

In fact, many of the healthiest celebrities reside in New York City and are devoted to the city's yoga studios, boutique gyms, and vegan restaurants and juice bars.

1. Madonna

At this point Madonna is almost as famous for her fitness as she is her music. Her workouts literally launch fitness trends. She's been devoted to Ashtanga yoga since 1996 and has also dabbled with Bikram. Her arms made Tracy Anderson a household name before she dropped the elfin trainer and moved on to barre workouts with Sadie Lincoln, while at the same time furnishing a home gym. Her macrobiotic diet has kept her going through it all. We officially designate the Material Girl as a New York fitness icon. Although we still don't understand why she opened the first of her new line of gyms, Hard Candy, in Mexico City.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow

We admire Gwyneth Paltrow's willingness to experiment with wellness offerings -- from cupping to macrobiotic cuisine - while still making room in her life -- and her newsletter, GOOP -- for the finer things in life (like dairy). In the past few years, Paltrow has successfully rebranded herself as a devoted health, lifestyle, and parenting guru. When she's not proclaiming the benefits of Dr. Alejandro Junger's three-day cleanse and 21-day elimination diet, she's drinking Organic Avenue juices, practicing yoga with Eddie Stern, or lifting tiny weights with Tracy Anderson, whom she partnered with on the trainer's flagship Tribeca gym. She's also a huge supporter of Bent on Learning, a charity that brings yoga into New York City public schools.

3. Kelly Ripa

Ripa was not always a fitness buff, but in her late 30s, this former smoker and mother of three decided to turn it all around. When she's not telling Regis about her 5-mile runs, she's dragging guest-host Anderson Cooper to a class at Soul Cycle, or telling the world about Physique 57, the workout she credits for having given her a sculpted bod. Ripa extends her healthy reach by advocating for heart health with the American Heart Association.

4. Parker Posey
The Queen of the Indies describes her personal health philosophy as "Eat well, nurture yourself, feed your mind, don't entertain negative thoughts." To accomplish this, Parker Posey stays away from red meat, wheat, sugar, and (yes, we swear she's a New Yorker) coffee. To stay fit and centered, Posey practices Ashtanga yoga and is a follower of Ayurvedic medicine, which she discovered while filming The Eye in New Mexico. (Herdosha is Pitta, if you must know.) She's made several trips back to the Ayurvedic Institute of New Mexico for tune-ups.

5. Russell Simmons
You would think that Russell Simmons' many business ventures-in music, fashion, reality television, and philanthropy -- would leave time for little else. Instead, you're likely to spot this life-long New Yorker in a headstand at Jivamukti Yoga in Union Square, picking up a green juice at Liquiteria, promoting veganism, or tweeting excerpts from the Baghavad Gita throughout the day. His newest book, Super Rich, is about achieving self-acceptance, peace, and enlightenment amidst prosperity.

6. Chelsea Clinton

Much of the buzz surrounding New York's favorite former first-daughter's wedding this past fall concerned an unlikely detail-the menu. That's because Chelsea Clinton decided that most of the offerings would be vegan and gluten-free (including the cake). The only bone thrown to meat eaters was a grass-fed, organic beef option. A big part of her fitness persona is her affiliation with Soul Cycle. Not only is Chelsea Clinton often spotted on a front row bike, she's hosted multiple charity rides for the spinning studio. Expect her to keep spreading healthy vibes around the world with her brand new Master's degree in Public Health from Columbia University.

7. Natalie Portman

To prepare for her Oscar-worthy role as a tortured ballerina in Black Swan, Natalie Portman trained six days a week for five to eight hours a day with the founder of Ballet Beautiful. Now that she's pregnant, no doubt she'll tone down the workouts. But given that her fiance is famed dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied, we expect she'll be back at the barre soon. We spotted her working out at the Greenwich Hotel just last week, and when it comes to eating out, her dish of choice is brussel sprouts with a side of green juice.

8. Christy Turlington

Christy Turlington is a supermodel who's also pretty on the inside. The Tribeca-based yogi is a contributing editor to Yoga Journal and wrote Living Yoga: Creating a Life Practice to share her yogic experiences. She frequents Physique 57 and is a vegetarian. In 1999, she created Sundari, an Ayurveda-inspired luxury skin-care line, which she has since sold. And she went on to make a documentary film, No Woman, No Cry, that calls attention to maternal mortality around the world, which debuted at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Turlington has also lent her star power to CARE and anti-smoking campaigns.

9. Donna Karan

Designer Donna Karan has been a practicing yoga since she was 18. After establishing herself as seminal New York City fashion designer, she went on a personal spiritual exploration, trying everything from Reiki and crystals to Kabbalah. She's abandoned her carnivorous past for a raw-food diet, Jill Pettijohn's nutritional cleanses, and is a patient of integrative physician Dr. Frank Lipman. Karan has become a wellness force in the city: She helped create and fund integrative health and healing programs for cancer patients used in New York City hospitals through her Urban Zen Foundation.

10. Michelle Williams

This Dawson's Creek alum and Brooklyn mom turned to yoga forThhealing after her ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger's untimely death. "Yoga gave me relief like nothing else; it made me a better person and a better mother. I could come back to my daughter anew," she said in this month's issue of Marie Claire. She felt so inspired that she started the Yoga for Single Momsproject, which provides free yoga classes and child care to single moms who seriously need a savasana.

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns in ‘The Terminator’

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns in ‘The Terminator’
Christine Stibbe

Actor turned politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is committed to reprise his role in a newTerminator film. The governor became an established Hollywood actor after portraying a machine cyborg in the previous Terminator films.

Creative Arts Agency, Schwarzenegger’s talent agency, is reportedly proposing the project all over Hollywood. Several prominent Hollywood studios are considering taking on the project including Sony, Lionsgate and Universal.

According to Deadline, there is currently no screenwriter attached to the film. It is unclear whether James Cameron, who wrote and directed the first film, would also be involved in the project.

Reuters claims Schwarzenegger made an announcement in February saying he was ready to return to acting. The former actor took a break to serve as California’s Republican governor beginning in 2003.

Schwarzenegger also has plans to create a television comic series that will play off his political nickname “The Governator.”

Will Oprah Get Tough on Obama?

Obama Heads to Chicago for Oprah, NYC for Money

By Darlene Superville

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama is helping his pal Oprah Winfrey wrap up her syndicated talk show in style.

Obama was heading home to Chicago on Wednesday to appear on one of the final episodes of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The talk-show host and Obama supporter has announced that she is ending her top-rated TV program on May 25 after a quarter-century on the air.

Obama's wife, Michelle, was joining him on Oprah's couch for the interview, which is scheduled to be televised Monday.

The president's day of politicking was continuing later Wednesday in New York with his first fundraising sweep of the city since he announced his re-election bid this month. Three Democratic Party fundraisers were scheduled across midtown Manhattan, including an event at the home of financier and former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and a dinner at The Waldorf-Astoria hotel. Obama was not due back at the White House until the wee hours of Thursday.

Winfrey's relationship with the Obamas dates to their days in Chicago.

Most notably, she lent her credibility and celebrity status to his 2008 presidential campaign with her first-ever political endorsement. She joined him at campaign rallies that drew supporters by the thousands, raised money for him and cheered for him at the Democratic National Convention.

On election night, she was seen weeping in the crowd during Obama's victory speech in downtown Chicago.

"Her show is coming to a conclusion of a terrific run," White House spokesman Jay Carney said. Obama "considers Oprah a friend and he looks forward to being on the show."

Corzine, who lost his political job in 2009 despite Obama's efforts to help him get re-elected, is a former chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs. He has deep ties to the financial industry, which felt battered by Obama's rhetoric blaming the financial crisis on "fat cat" Wall Street bankers. The industry also chafed at the subsequent overhaul of financial regulations.

Corzine now heads MF Global Inc., a financial services firm, and Obama has begun trying to repair his relations with the business sector.

From Corzine's home, Obama heads to Park Avenue for a dinner at The Waldorf-Astoria, followed by a concert-style event at the Town Hall theater primarily for his younger supporters and featuring The Roots, a hip-hop band from Philadelphia.

Since he became a candidate for re-election on April 4, Obama has embarked on an aggressive inaugural fundraising tour that included three events in Chicago on April 14 and six events in two days last week in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Obama raised $750 million for the 2008 campaign and hopes to top that for his re-election.

'21 Jump Street' Is Back - with Johnny Depp

'21 Jump Street' Is Back - with Johnny Depp
By Kelly Fisher

It looks like Johnny Depp will return to his old stomping ground. The actor will reportedly film a small cameo for the big-screen reboot of '21 Jump Street.'

A source revealed to EW.com that it's likely Depp will stop by for an uncredited cameo in movie, but no other details have been released.

Depp starred in the '80s crime-fighting TV show, in which young-looking undercover cops helped crack teen crime. The updated movie version, which was co-written by 'Get Him to the Greek' star Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall, places a slimmed-down Hill and Channing Tatum in the lead roles.

"It's an entirely new imagination of what '21 Jump Street' is," Hill told MTV News last year. "We're not doing a spoof whatsoever. It will be crazy characters that are in very unreal circumstances sometimes."

Hill hoped that Depp would consider popping in for a cameo.

"Hopefully, he does it...It would be awesome if he did," Hill said, and in a separate interview, Depp soon followed up by saying, "It could be very funny...I'm in, I'm in."

Filming on '21 Jump Street' movie started this week in New Orleans.

Is Hugh Grant's Secret Girlfriend Pregnant?

Is Hugh Grant's Secret Girlfriend Pregnant?

It looks like Hugh Grant has a new woman in his life but the actor has so far managed to keep her a secret. However, recent photos of the couple show that the relationship may not be the only thing Grant is keeping a secret.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Grant has been on a series of dates with his rumored new Chinese girlfriend Tinglan Hong.

The actor met Hong, 32, last year and is said to have been dating her since January.

The couple were seen out over the weekend in London and in a particular photo, it appeared that Hong had a rounded belly, leading to speculation that she may be pregnant with Grant's child.

A friend of the actor told News of the World (as reported by Heatworld.com), "Hugh and Ting have grown increasingly close in recent months. They see each other most days and she's a big part of his life."

But the friend is cautious on whether the notoriously single Grant, 50, would settle down with Hong. "He's still a free spirit. Ting's a lovely girl, smart and very attractive. She and Hugh love spending time together. But as ever he's a very difficult man to nail down. And although they're increasingly close, Ting's aware that he still goes out with other girls. Yes, he sees Ting all the time, but it's normally on his terms -- at his house or bars and restaurants nearby. Hugh has always been a bit of a commitment-phobe. He just loves doing his own."

Grant's best known relationship was with actress Elizabeth Hurley. The couple were together for 13 years but it ended in 2000, five years after he was caught cheating with a prostitute named Divine Brown. The pair parted amicably and remain close friends.

Hurley recently revealed that she could see herself living together with the actor "if all else fails."

Charlie Sheen Dumped...

Charlie Sheen Dumped by 'Goddess' Bree Olson

Charlie Sheen is on the last leg of his live 'Torpedo of Truth' tour, but still has plenty to say.

On Saturday night, he revealed startling news about his love life to a crowd in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (many of whom reportedly scored tickets after Sheen offered them free on Twitter), confessing that he was down to just one "goddess," because porn star Bree Olson left him.

And she dumped him via text message, according to RadarOnline.com. During a Q&A segment, an audience member reportedly asked the fired 'Two and Half Men' star how he and his two"goddesses" were doing. The actor replied, "Not well, because one left." Sheen wished Olson well, but did admit that her goodbye arrived in a text.

Olson, 23, and Natalie Kenly, 24, had been making cameos together on stage during Sheen's live tour stops, often making out in the spotlight.

Just one night before Sheen delivered his break-up news, he was onstage in Tampa pleading for support in resuming his lucrative sitcom career. Comic Jeffrey Ross was on hand with roast-style zingers like, "You made your dad ashamed to share the same fake name with you," (Martin Sheen's real surname is Estevez) and a crack about Hosni Mubarek having better odds of getting his job back.

Yet the 45-year-old TV star, who once ranted on every medium he could find about 'Two and a Half Men,' sounded unusually hopeful about his future on CBS. "With your support, with a room full of love," Sheen told the crowd, "we are going to get my job back."

(Nevermind the fact that lawyers for Warner Bros. TV just issued a statement denying any such thing: "There have been no discussions, there are no discussions, and there will be no discussions regarding his returning to, or having any involvement in, the series.")

The St. Petersburg Times reports that more than a third of the 3,000 seat venue in Tampa was empty. When a woman in the audience flashed Sheen, he replied, "You know you're at a Charlie Sheen show when it's Good Friday and there's nudity....It's Great Friday."

Photos of Michael Jackson's dead body will be allowed as evidence in the manslaughter trial against the late pop icon's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor ruled Thursday (April 21) that jurors would be allowed to view photos from Jackson's autopsy, despite prosecutors claims that it would create an emotional bias in the trial. Only two photos -- one of Jackson in a hospital gown and another where he is naked but portions of his body are covered -- will be shown of Jackson's limp body on the coroner's table. The district attorney describes both photos as "not gruesome or gory."

The judge approved the photos and is allowing footage of Jackson rehearsing for his final 'This Is It' into the courtroom because both help paint a picture of the singer's health at the time of his death. "I don't think this should be entertainment," Pastor said. "We should not feel deprived of our 99-cent iTunes if we don't hear the whole song."

The judge also filtered the dirty laundry that will be allowed to air in his courtroom. Women Murray had extramarital affairs with at the time he was treating Jackson will be allowed to testify, but the disgraced doctors financial information and child support issues will be kept out of the courtroom.

The manslaughter trial is set to begin on May 9 in Los Angeles. It is expected to last 45 days and if convicted Murray faces up to four years in prison.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009, after being found lifeless in his Beverly Hills home and rushed to the nearby UCLA Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

UNFORTUNATELY: Lindsay Lohan Quickly Released From Jail

UNFORTUNATELY: Lindsay Lohan Quickly Released From Jail

This nasty w**** should be teated just like everybody else dammit~!

The day unfolded all too familiarly for Lindsay Lohan: a court hearing, a jail sentence, a quick release.

The starlet appeared before a judge Friday for the fourth time in nearly a year and was sentenced to 120 days for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said she thought the actress had intentionally taken the $2,500 necklace from an upscale Venice store and shown poor judgment in not trying to return it until police became involved.

The judge reduced the actress' charge from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor and imposed the 120-day sentence.

Lohan's attorney Shawn Holley filed a notice of appeal right before court closed, clearing the way for the actress' release on bail.

She was freed at 9:21 p.m. after posting $75,000 bail, according to the sheriff department's website.

Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers said her office would consider appealing the ruling as well.

Sautner agreed with Meyers that Lohan showed intent to keep the necklace, and said that she thought Lohan's conduct probably warranted a felony.

"I see the intent here," Sautner said. "I see a level of brazenness with, 'Let me see what I can get away with here.'"

But the judge said felony grand theft cases involving higher-valued goods are often reduced to the misdemeanor level and thought it was appropriate in Lohan's case.

"I'm going to give her an opportunity," the judge said.

She also said she hoped to give the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star a dose of perspective by sentencing her to almost 500 hours of community service, including time at the county morgue and 300 hours at a women's shelter.

It is unclear what effect the sentence may have on Lohan's next acting role. Producers of the film "Gotti: Three Generations" announced on Wednesday that Lohan had been cast to play the wife of John Gotti Jr. in the film.

She told The Associated Press afterward she didn't think her court case would affect her work.

"I think in the past, I had a lot of distractions," she said. "I've learned a lot. I've lived a lot. When I'm on set, it's about the film."

Lohan did not visibly react to the sentence. She cried earlier in the day when Holley told Sautner that Lohan had been punished enough, and recounted the treatment programs the actress has completed since her first arrest for drunken driving in 2007.

Her father, Michael Lohan, put his hands over his face at times Friday and bolted from the courtroom after his daughter was led away by sheriff's personnel.

It was the fourth time Lohan has been sentenced to jail, although three trips amounted to a few hours. Last summer, she spent 14 days in jail on a 90 day sentence.

The actress did not address the court during Friday's hearing, but frequently conferred with Holley and shook her head when witnesses described some of her actions inside the jewelry store, Kamofie & Co.

Lohan has been a courthouse fixture since last May when she missed a hearing in her drunken driving case. Since then, two judges have sent her to jail twice and rehab, also twice.

She rejected two plea offers to end the necklace case early, including one in which Meyers was seeking six months in jails, the prosecutor said Friday.

Meyers' witnesses included a police officer who received the stolen necklace from Lohan's assistant. The investigative detective also testified that she verified the actress wore the necklace days after it was taken and was photographed with it by paparazzi.

Lohan made three visits within a week to a jewelry store that accused her of stealing the necklace but never purchased anything before leaving with the item, the shop's owner testified.

Sofia Kaman said she waited a day to report the necklace stolen because Lohan had told her she would return the next day to purchase a ring. The actress never returned. The first time Kaman saw Lohan since the Jan. 22 store visit was Friday.

Kaman says she did not have any agreement with Lohan allowing her to leave the store with the necklace.

Lohan was wearing two of her own necklaces when entered the store, and she wore both pieces to court on Friday, taking them off at one point while her attorney cross-examined Kaman.

Holley showed Kaman the necklaces and questioned her about why she didn't notice the actress was still wearing the store's necklace, even though Lohan's neck - and by Holley's description, cleavage - were clearly visible.

"I wasn't looking at her chest," Kaman said. "I was looking at her face."

Mel Gibson Doesn't Care If He Never Acts Again

Mel Gibson Doesn't Care If He Never Acts Again

He has nearly 50 movie and TV credits to his name, but Mel Gibson says he doesn't care if he's ever in front of a camera again.

"I could easily not act again. It's not a problem," the troubled actor-filmmaker, 55, tellsDeadline Hollywood in his first major interview since a series of leaked audiotapes documenting his rants to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva dominated summer headlines. Gibson adds that he's going to work again with Randy Wallace, who wrote the script for the 1995 Best Picture Oscar winner Braveheart.

While Gibson may seem willing to give up and not look back on his career, he expresses regret over what he said on the tapes, where he unleashed expletives on Grigorieva, 41. Among his statements to her: "How dare you act like such a b---- when I'm being so f------ nice."

"I was angry at me," Gibson says of his rants. "But no one expressed any anger at me. They may have felt it."

In his defense, he adds: "Who anticipates being recorded? Who anticipates that? Who could anticipate such a personal betrayal?"

Says Tapes Were EditedHe understands the backlash, but he's also wishes to remind those who were angered by his rants that the tapes were edited.

"You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally, heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship," he says. "It's one terribly awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day and doesn't represent what I truly believe or how I've treated people my entire life."

Gibson will next be seen on the big screen in The Beaver with Jodie Foster, who publicly defended the actor. Foster and Whoopi Goldberg were among the short list of Hollywood voices that spoke up for Gibson during his travails – but, once again, he says he doesn't care.

"Why would anyone want to speak publicly and drag themselves through this crap? It seems to add fuel to the fire," he says. "Very many people are supportive, of course, but you find out who your friends are."

Moving OnFrom a drunk-driving incident turned anti-Semitic tirade in 2006 to the making of 2004's controversial The Passion of the Christ, Gibson isn't new to storms. In his defense, the actor plays with the persona of the reluctant star, insisting that he made the "spur of the moment" decision to act in his early 20s, but that when it comes to fame, "you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube."

His latest setback: Last October, his cameo in The Hangover 2 was canceled because of reported protests from the cast and crew. But he's not hung-up about it.

"You have to let that go," he says. "You just move on and go, okay, I'm not greatly offended by it. It seemed like a good idea at the time and it went south."

Ricki Lake's returning to daytime TV

Ricki Lake's returning to daytime TV

Oprah Winfrey's on her way out, but talk show vet Ricki Lake is making the move back to daytime.
According to Broadcasting & Cable, Lake is officially developing an hour-long talk program with Twentieth Television.
While her old show, which was distributed by Sony Entertainment and aired from 1993-2004, was aimed at younger women, Lake is now thinking more broadly. B&C reports that the 42-year-old single mom will cover topics like family, marriage, parenting, divorce, weight-loss, health and nutrition.
Twentieth Television is gearing up for a fall 2012 debut on broadcast stations, cable networks or some combination of both.
Lake said in a statement that it’s "been very fulfilling for the past seven years to focus my energy on advocacy work on behalf families and children.” Nonetheless, she’s “excited to return to my roots and work with Twentieth Television to develop a talk show that will give me an opportunity to share my experiences and reconnect with audiences.”

'Happy Days' Actors Sue CBS Over Merchandising Revenues

'Happy Days' Actors Sue CBS Over Merchandising Revenues

by Chris Harnick

The cast of 'Happy Days' isn't too, well, happy, with CBS.

Anson Williams, Don Most, Marion Ross, Erin Moran and the estate of the late Tom Bosley are suing CBS over merchandising revenues. According to CNN, the actors claim CBS has cut them out of money they are owed for products such as T-shirts, comic books, dolls and DVDs.

The cast is suing for $10 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Henry Winkler and Ron Howard are not part of the suit.

The actors say that under their contracts, they were supposed to be paid 5 percent of the net proceeds if their sole image appeared on the product and 2.5 percent if their image appeared in a group.

Jon Pfeiffer, the attorney for the 'Happy Days' actors, said he expects to file a lawsuit against CBS today.

"The issue is the five cast members of 'Happy Days' were not paid for the royalties for their name and likeness," Pfeiffer told CNN. "That being the use of their picture, use of their name in slot machines, in games, in greeting cards, in T-shirts -- anything where you saw a 'Happy Days' face of a character, they were not paid for that."

CBS told the actors that they are owed between $8,500 and $9,000 for the last four years, most of the revenue coming from 'Happy Days' slot machines that bear their likenesses. However, the actors claim they are owed millions of dollars.

More 'Happy Days' products are being prepped to launch, including a lottery game.

According to Pfeiffer, attempts at mediation between his clients and CBS have failed.

"We agree that funds are owed to the actors," CBS told CNN via an emailed statement, "and have been working with them for quite some time to resolve the issue."

'Happy Days' debuted in 1974 and lasted for 11 seasons, airing 255 episodes before its 1984 finale. The show was responsible for three spinoffs, 'Laverne & Shirley,' 'Mork & Mindy' and 'Joanie Loves Chachi.'

The series has left a lasting impression on pop culture many thanks to Henry Winkler's character, the Fonz. Besides his iconic leather jacket, the Fonz gave the world the term "jumping the shark."

Check out this video of the cast reminiscing during the 30th anniversary special.

David Hasselhoff Steps Out With New Girlfriend

David Hasselhoff Steps Out With New Girlfriend

By Christine Fenno

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that former 'Baywatch' starDavid Hasselhoff was getting serious with a young model from Wales.

After recently going public as a couple in London, the two were spotted Friday in California at the Coachella festival (because, let's face it, nothing is more cool to Coachella music fans than bumping into the Hoff).

Hasselhoff's new love is 31-year-old Hayley Roberts -- who has the same first name, and platinum blond hair color, as her boyfriend's 18-year-old daughterHayley Hasselfhoff.

The two met while Hasselhoff was judging auditions for the latest round of 'Britain's Got Talent.' According to RadarOnline, the 58-year-old TV star first spied the cosmetics saleswoman and part-time model in the audience, and pursued the relationship.

"I'm big on romance," he recalls. "I wooed her...I was a gentleman."

Whisking his girlfriend off to California this weekend even trumped a London viewing of his televised premiere on 'Britain's Got Talent,' the hit series on which he's the replacement for Simon Cowell. Of the differences between his new gig and his four-year stint on 'America's Got Talent,' Hasselhoff has said, "They [the British audience] are so positive. It is actually more fun over here than in the States."

The U.K.'s Daily Mail reports that the 'Knight Rider' star and his new love engaged in PDA at the opening of a London musical, 'Betty Blue Eyes,' earlier this week.

Hasselhoff, divorced from ex-wife Pamela Bach since 2006, opened up about a recent getaway to Roberts' hometown, Glynneath in Swansea, where he has tried adjusting to her strong Welsh accent.

"I went to see her in Wales. It's been really nice, because I got the chance to see a bit of the countryside, a bit of Wales, and it's been a terrific time. Wales is nice....We have long conversations, because she's from Wales and I can't understand her.'

Is the romance serious enough to last? Too soon to tell, according to Hasselhoff. "I like her very much; the whole thing is quite fresh," he said, adding, "Maybe I will be married again. I definitely want to be in a solid relationship. I don't want to spend my time with a lot of women. I appreciate a solid partner by my side."
